Japan successfully launches H3 rocket with Michibiki satellite
The No. 9 rocket was the first H3 unit carrying a practical-use satellite since a launch failure last December.

Japanese space startup to launch lunar lander using H3 rocket
Ispace signed a contract for launch and transportation services for its new lander, Ultra, with Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, which jointly developed the H3 rocket with JAXA.
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency tested a prototype reusable rocket in Noshiro, Akita Prefecture, on Saturday, with the rocket reaching a height of about 10 meters, and then landing. The flight lasted about 40 seconds.

The decision comes due to a crew member¡¯s medical issue, and will mark the first time any astronaut has to make an early return for health reasons.
While the H3 was able to lift off from the Tanegashima Space Center in Kagoshima Prefecture at 10:51 a.m., the second-stage rocket engine did not start properly and stopped burning earlier than scheduled.

The H3 rocket that carried the satellite was able to lift off, but its second-stage rocket engine did not start properly and stopped burning prematurely.
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency on Wednesday canceled the launch of its eighth H3 rocket and said that at this point, it is not possible to say when it will be rescheduled.
