This smoky, silvery girl is Ajisai, and she¡¯s quite a looker.
Her name is also the Japanese name for the flowering shrub hydrangea. Ajisai, now 2 years old, came to ARK when her owner passed away. Ajisai was accompanied by two other cats, Kosame and Shigure, both believed to be her brothers.
Shigure and Ajisai both have some degree of visual impairment, but it¡¯s nothing that should raise any concerns.
Ajisai will be a bit nervous at first and will take some time to get to know you. But she is so, so worth it. Her penchant for food also makes her a pushover for tasty snacks. Bring on the special nibbles and they¡¯ll nearly guarantee you¡¯ll be close friends in no time.
In any case, Ajisai¡¯s beauty is captivating and simply looking at her is satisfying. She¡¯ll hold your gaze as if preparing to look deep into your soul. Then a slow purr will start, first as a whisper, it will then rise to the sound of distant thunder and crescendo into what sounds like a standing ovation. It¡¯s her way of showing appreciation.
And it¡¯s her way of winning your heart.
