Kazuko Sugiuchi turned professional in 1948, and she is set to be promoted to the rank of ninth dan after retiring, becoming the first woman to reach that level.
As of last Sunday, ride-hailing services, which use personal vehicles to offer paid rides, had been used a total of 12,628 times in five areas.
